NCTCOG Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee

The Mad Duck crew attended the NCTCOG (North Central Texas Council of Governments) Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee meeting on Feb 17^th.  Saw some great presentations by the regional transportation providers (DART, The T & DCTA) about their plans for including bicycles on trains and busses.  All were very focused and inclusive in their bike plans.  Dart has a great section on their website (click here) on bicycles, they also have a Bicycle Advisory Committee and a Bicycle Club (team Dart).

We also attended an Association of Pedestrian and Bicycle Professionals’ Webinar on Cycle Tracks.  This is a bicycle path that is separate from car lanes and is also separated from pedestrian traffic.  You can checkout the presentation on cycle tracks by clicking here!
